Brazilian Air Force receives another F-39 Gripen fighter in the fleet

The F-39 Gripen fighter with registration number FAB 4108 (photo) arrived at the Port of Navegantes with the ship Heerengracht – Dutch flag on September 23. The aircraft was transported to Navegantes Airport in the early hours of September 24, where it was prepared for flight.
The route from Navegantes to the city of Anápolis, in the metropolitan region of Goiás, lasted 1 hour and 21 minutes. The fighter was driven by the test pilot from the Brazilian Air Force Research and Testing Institute, Lieutenant-Colonel Cristiano de Oliveira Perez, and landed at 4:48 pm this Thursday, at 34 degrees.
This is the eighth operational Gripen E fighter delivered by Saab to the Brazilian Air Force. The single-seater model was produced in Sweden, according to a contract signed between the country and the Brazilian government.
Meanwhile, the first Gripen E fighter in production in Brazil is in the final assembly phase at the Embraer factory in Gavião Peixoto.
