Making its
official debut on Brazilian soil, the Falcon 6X (photo), the new widebody
executive jet from Dassault Falcon, was one of the main attractions at the
largest executive aviation event, the Latin American Business Aviation
Conference and Exhibition (LABACE) 2024. The event took place at Congonhas
Airport from August 8 to 10.
Featuring
an award-winning interior with the largest cross-sectional cabin in executive
aviation, the 5,500 nm Falcon 6X was designed to offer maximum comfort and is
sized to carry up to 16 passengers.
With a
range exceeding 10,000 km, the Falcon 6X can fly nonstop from São Paulo to
Paris in just over 10 hours. Like the Falcon 8X, the 6X offers the quietest
cabin, with internal sound levels below 50 dB. The cabin air is continuously
refreshed and processed through hospital-grade HEPA filters to provide
additional protection against airborne pathogens.
In addition
to the Falcon 6X, Dassault Falcon also brought the Falcon 2000LXS to the event.
The latest model in the 2000 series, this aircraft is prized by flight
departments and charter operators worldwide for its comfort, efficiency, and
unmatched performance on short runways. The LXS comfortably seats up to 10
people in widebody comfort and has a range of 4,000 nm.
Another
highlight from Dassault was the opportunity for operators to get familiar with
Dassault's newest aircraft, the Falcon 10X, which will fly at Mach 0.925 and up
to 13,890 km nonstop. When certified in 2027, the 10X will be the largest
purpose-built executive jet in the industry.
State-of-the-art
Service Center in Catarina
Dassault
Aviation affiliate Falcon Jet recently opened a new company-owned service
center at São Paulo’s new Catarina Executive Airport, which will significantly
expand customer support opportunities for Latin American operators. São
Paulo-Catarina will offer nearly 3,600 square meters (40,000 square feet) of
floor and office space and can accommodate up to five Falcons simultaneously,
including the new, large Falcon 10X.
The
facility is certified as a repair station by Brazil's National Civil Aviation
Agency (ANAC), the FAA, and EASA, as well as airworthiness authorities in
Argentina, Bermuda, and Uruguay. It is authorized to handle line maintenance
and calendar and flight-hour inspections for the Falcon 50 and 900, Falcon 2000
series, and Falcon 7X and 8X models. It also offers Pre-Purchase Evaluations
(PPEs) for operators considering a used Falcon.
In addition
to fuselage inspections and services, the Catarina unit is approved to perform
line engine maintenance on CFE-738, Honeywell TFE731, and Pratt & Whitney
Canada engines.
